I have been a performer and educator for over 30 years. I have performed at earshot, bumbershoot, folklife festivals and have toured most of the colleges in western washington. I have taught flute and saxophone privately for many years and have done numerous workshops in seattle area schools on jazz history and improvisation. I have also done percussion instrument construction with salvage materials in seattle schools. The other main focus of the jazzworks program is developing young instrumentalists in improvisation in a combo setting. I have worked with middle school, high school, and adult student groups.
